Play Therapy
Play therapy provides a safe space for children to express and process their experiences. Since smaller children often lack the vocabulary to communicate their emotions, play becomes the medium through which they can explore their feelings. Through play therapy, children can work through various challenges they may encounter.
I am knowledgeable about both play therapy and individual therapy, and I have found that combining the two can be especially beneficial. I utilize techniques such as Sandtray Therapy, which is a form of play therapy, and Narrative therapy. Nevertheless, we believe in customizing the therapy plan to suit each individual's unique needs. Sessions typically last approximately 45-50 minutes, and the number of sessions required will be determined by the individual needs of the client.
This play therapy process consists of the following:
- Background information from parents in the case of younger learners.
- Individual therapy with client.
