Fees
Please note that this practice operates as a cash basis and it is the client is responsible for the full payment of sessions. Fees are in line with those prescribed by the “Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF)”. The cost per 45–50 minute therapy session is +/- R 1060. I also offer a cash rate of R850 per 45–50 minute session to be paid within 7days after the session. Thereafter medical aid tariff will apply. Once payment has been received, I will supply you with a receipt which can be used to claim back from your medical aid.
In the case where a client would like the practice to claim back directly from their medical aid, arrangements can be made if the practice is registered with that medical aid and if funds are available for psychological services. This should be arranged prior to any services.
It is advisable to contact your medical aid first to inquire about the availability of funds and the specific benefits of your particular benefit option (as not all medical aid plans make provision for educational assessments and therapy sessions). Invoices for therapy are sent out after each session, while invoices for assessments are sent before the intake interview. Please note that a 20% booking fee is required to book an assessment date and are payable on/before the day of the intake interview.
Cancellation Fee Policy
Cancellations and rescheduling of appointments must be made no later than 24 hours before scheduled appointments. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. Please note that medical aid scheme will not cover this fee - therefore, it will be needed to settle out of pocket.
